RESTON, Va. (AP) — RESTON, Va. (AP) — Leidos Holdings Inc. (LDOS) on Tuesday reported first-quarter profit of $363 million.
On a per-share basis, the Reston, Virginia-based company said it had profit of $2.77. Earnings, adjusted for amortization costs and costs related to mergers and acquisitions, came to $2.97 per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $2.47 per share.
The security and engineering company posted revenue of $4.25 billion in the period, also exceeding Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $4.08 billion.
Leidos expects full-year earnings in the range of $10.35 to $10.75 per share, with revenue in the range of $16.9 billion to $17.3 billion.
